There is something so beautiful and enchanting about old houses. I have renovated many houses, especially lots of old windows, those that people say just to throw away. I have also designed and built my own studio/home, a small wooden house inside an old brick stable. I built it with my own hands, tools and some machines, so I know the materials a bit and I am in awe of the craftsmanship of old days.
Windows are poetical features. Transparent holes between inside and outside, where dark and light, cold and warm meet. The outside has more impact on the inside than the reverse… Thoughts come and go and deepen, when I work on windows, nowadays on paper.
I love doing house portraits – do contact me for commissions!

‘Vaults and pillars’ series is also called ‘Arches on Arches’, since it is painted on the world famous Arches watercolour paper. It is presented in the watercolour art gallery on their website!
The original paintings are for sale as a complete set at 1034€ – not individually. I also prefer if the client could display them in a suitable, public location.
